2012 Distinguished Service Award
The 2012 KAR Distinguished Service Award was presented to Jayne Cox, a member of the Lexington Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR). This award is given to someone who has provided outstanding contributions and service to the real estate industry and his/her local community. Cox began her real estate career as a REALTOR® more than 45 years ago and has been serving the Lexington area since, currently as a broker for Jayne Cox & Associates. On the local level, she served as president in 1986 and was named REALTOR® of the Year that same year. She served on many committees throughout the years, most recently as the chair for LBAR’s 100th anniversary. She was the first woman elected president of the Kentucky Association of REALTORS® in 1988 and was awarded REALTOR® of the Year at the state level in 2001. Cox currently serves as an RPAC Trustee at both the state and national levels. In addition, she served as a director on the national level for 12 years and recently completed her term as NAR regional vice president over Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina.
