2010 Distinguished Service Award
The 2010 KAR Distinguished Service Award was presented to John Davis, a member of the Paducah Board of REALTORS® (PBR). This award is given to someone who has provided outstanding contributions and service to the real estate industry and his/her local community. Davis began his real estate career as a REALTOR® more than 35 years ago and has been serving the Paducah area since. On the local level, he served as president in 1986 and was named REALTOR® of the Year the following year. In 1992, Davis was the recipient of the Joe C. Marshall Distinguished Service Award from his local board. He served as president of the Kentucky Association of REALTORS® in 1999 and again was awarded REALTOR® of the Year the following year. Davis is a dedicated contributor to the REALTOR® Political Action Committee and made a significant contribution to help form the Jess and Carolyn Kinman Award which honors an outstanding Kentuckian who works diligently in the legislative and political arenas. He volunteers his time to teaching at the local level and is actively involved in many civic organizations and the Home Builders Association of Western Kentucky.
