2010 REALTOR® of the Year

Jeff Smith, a REALTOR® with Star One REALTORS® in Fort Mitchell and a member of the Northern Kentucky Association of REALTORS® (NKAR), was named KAR’s 2010 REALTOR® of the Year. Smith served as president of the Kentucky Association of REALTORS® in 2009 and has been active with the state association since 1994, serving most recently on the Board of Directors for a number of years. He has been involved in multiple committees such as the Kentucky Real Estate Commission Selection Committee, the Distinguished Service Award/Lifetime Achievement Committee, Strategic Planning, Bylaws, Policies and Procedures, Economic Development and several other notable areas. Smith has served the Kentucky Real Estate Education Foundation as well as various other positions such as Delegate at Large, Director at Large, Region Director and Region Vice President. On the local level, Smith was president of the Northern Kentucky Association of REALTORS® in 1995 and also served as president in 1993 for the Northern Kentucky Multiple Listing Service. Throughout his 35 years in the business, he has stayed active in his local association holding various leadership positions and serving on virtually every committee. In 1993, he was awarded the REALTOR® of the Year and in 2009 he received theRobert J. Enos Dedicated Service Award, both at the local level. Smith served on the National Association of REALTORS® Board of Directors and is a member on the National Association of REALTORS® Conventional Finance Committee and the Membership Policy and Board Jurisdiction Committee.
